Communicative colour.

For this Project I was given a piece of writing by Thomas Traherne - Centuries of Meditation. The text is about the authors vision of Heaven.

Thumbnails.

I created these to figure out what my final piece will look like. There were at least five I was keen on. But in the end I chose to go with the child sitting in the tree looking down.

complications.

However there were some complications. I really struggled to get the perspective right, I tried several times, I even took a photo of toys but still I couldn't quite picture it.  So, I decided to change the image that I was drawing.

New Plan.

Then I picked the thumbnail with the girl and wheat, however, I changed the subject of the piece to better suit the text to ‘a cherubim dancing within corn’ but, I tried to keep the follow of the original thumbnail drawing.
